This seems to be a scaled down web browser accessing the web. Very slow.

Sometimes responds slowly, but overall the best language learning app Ive seen so far! Thanks to Rocket Languages!

Overall this app is working well, however I am experiencing some difficulties with the Hear it Say it and Know it functions. A full list of phrases isnt loading as it would on the website and I am unable to complete my exercises.

I had looked forward to this app, and it started off fairly well. Unfortunately it fell behind with the release of iOS 6, and even more with iOS 7. Nothing about it functions as it should.

Love this software for learning French, however; the iOS app only works 40% (at best) of the time. Tutor narration simply does not play and for that reason the software is rendered useless.

It does seem to be good but I cant get my IPad microphone to work on recording my voice so that I can how I speak while doing the lessons : /

I never write reviews but I am so frustrated with this app. I cant even begin to describe he bugs because there are so many. I literally have problems every time I use this app. Ive written to them several times but they dont do anything. Certainly I cant be the only one experiencing this. Pimsleur 1-5 is WAAAYYY better.

The Rocket Languages course online is absolutely fantastic. But this app is their weak link. It is archaic, glitchy, and nowhere near the quality of their online programs. Dont let this app stop you from purchasing the course, but please Rocket Language update this app!

I have been waiting for this app forever and now its finally on iOS, as a member of the rocket Japanese course I can honestly say that this app is one of the best apps for learning japanese ever. "hear it, know it, say it" is great for establishing retention of words/phrases and these combined with the interactive audio lessons and language & culture lessons will enable users to speak confidently Finally I always love the apps more than the websites for these kind of things I cant believe its here. Awesome.

Only installed this app yesterday (its release date), but my first impression is that its a terrific alternative to the full-blown (well-established) web-based version. The app is free (oh so commendable!), but you do have to have a purchased UserID and accompanying password to access the superb content (the same UserID and password works for both the web-based version and the app). Your progress through the course remains in sync regardless of the platform you choose to use (app or web). The developers have done a remarkable job of fitting the mammoth amount of course material into the app and have VERY effectively implemented it on the smaller iPhone display (compared to the web version via my Mac desktop computer; I have not tried this app on an iPad). Apparently there are only a few features of the web version that they have not (yet) implemented in the app (e.g., select-and-click additions to MyVocab). I think I still prefer the web version on my 24" Mac, but the app will be a terrific alternative for keeping up on the coursework when out and about (like on that plane to Italy!!). Highly recommended!

Rocket languages is a constantly evolving language program. The program is very good its exciting that they now have an app. The app itself is user friendly and simple. Its good to know I can go mobile with the program now. While it is hard to point at exactly what needs work in the app there is definitely room for improvement, and Im sure rocket languages will deliver with updates later on in the life of this app.

I love the programs and now having the app will make it easy to learn on the go! The app is great and really complements the Rocket French program! Get it... You will love it!

Rocket Languages is by far the best value for your money when it comes to learning a new language! This app has all your lessons neatly organized. I love it! 5 stars!!!

Easy to use and fast!

In each section there is a lot of reading, but that is just more learning material. ☺ I like the use of text, audio, and quizzes. This is a wonderful program.

For those interested in this but cant afford the regular price its on groupon with a major discount.

I really love rocket languages so far but this app is really horrible! The navigation makes everything so tedious and difficult. It lags and freezes as well. You cannot go directly from one lesson to the next as far as I could tell. When you finish a lesson, you have to go back to "home" and then find the next lesson and select it. So frustrating!

This app is honestly pretty bad if like me, you dont have internet everywhere. And where I do have internet ie my home I also have a computer so why would I need this app unless I was trying to use it on the go. Maybe if there was the option to download course materials onto the iPad directly from the app it would be better but alas that function does not exist. So now I am forced to go onto there website and download individually every language lesson onto iTunes and then download that onto my iPad if I want to learn on the go

The program itself pretty good. I already new some German so for me it helped fill in the blanks, teach new vocabulary and just kept my ear in tune to the language. The app is what Im having issues with. My biggest pet peer is that it doesnt seem to be syncing or updated with my online account which I use on my computer. So if something gets done on the computer then it wont register on the app, and vice-versa. Its really inconvenient since it doesnt accurately follow or plot my practice and growth. Please fix this and I can then upgrade my review.
